Dresses and Jumpsuits

Length is the first choice and the one photographs mislead on most. Mini lands above the knee, midi below it, maxi at the ankle, and the same dress looks like a different length on a model eight inches taller than you.

Pockets decide more purchases than they should. Where a dress has them, its page says so under pockets. Where the page says nothing, assume there are none rather than hoping.

Sleeveless and long sleeve split the year. The sleeveless ones are cut for July and for layering under a cardigan the rest of the time, and they are the ones with the most colours.

A knit dress here is a day dress. It is not lined, it is not structured, and it is not for a wedding unless the wedding is on a beach.
